Spring showers, The Black Cuillin

The composition draws the eye from the rocky stream in the foreground, through the undulating green moorland in the middle ground, up to the commanding peaks of the Black Cuillin. The dramatic sky occupies nearly half the canvas, with brooding storm clouds creating a powerful sense of movement and atmosphere.
