The Smiddy

The composition centres on a traditional stone cottage with attached barn featuring a distinctive corrugated iron roof, positioned in the middle ground. The farmyard path leads the eye toward the buildings while free-ranging chickens add life to the foreground. Dense conifer forest provides a dark backdrop that contrasts with the vivid colours of the scene.
