Ingrid Nilsson

Ingrid's creative life has been a winding path. She always wanted to be making, painting or drawing something, but the shape and form that this has taken has shifted over the decades. She studied art, photography, printmaking and journalism, as if preparing for the changes ahead. From 2011 to 2020, she painted in her open studio which was part of Bon Papillon, the business she ran in Edinburgh's New Town with her partner Stuart. She has always been quite prolific and sold a lot of work all over the world, along with many portrait commissions over the last few years.
