Avocet

The avocet is positioned right of centre in a classic feeding posture with its distinctive upturned bill extended forward. The bird's reflection creates visual symmetry in the calm water below, while decorative splatter effects in the upper left add dynamic energy and contemporary appeal to the otherwise peaceful scene.
