Aberdeenshire: Slains Castle

The composition draws the eye along a dramatic diagonal formed by the rugged cliff edge, leading from the foreground grasses towards the silhouetted ruins of Slains Castle on the horizon. The rocky coastline creates natural framing, whilst the moody cloud formation adds depth and atmosphere to the scene.
