Castle Terrace, Edinburgh

The composition draws the eye from the bustling street level activity upward through golden autumn foliage to the commanding presence of Edinburgh Castle and surrounding historic buildings on the ridge. Strong diagonal shadows and vertical tree forms create visual rhythm and depth.
