Purple Rain, Scott Monument

The artwork presents a striking horizontal composition with the iconic Edinburgh skyline rendered in dramatic black silhouette along the lower third. The Scott Monument dominates the left while the Balmoral clock tower anchors the right. A luminous full moon emerges from swirling clouds on the right, with diagonal textural strokes creating dynamic movement across the pastel-hued sky. A flock of birds adds gentle animation to the centre.
